Lend a paw and help change the lives of dogs and cats in your community!
There are many fun and interesting things youth and teens can do in their communities to help animals at ARF. Community Service projects are a fantastic way to get volunteer credit for community service requirements, build job skills and gain work experience, or for inclusion on applications for college or scholarships.
Getting Started
Please contact ARF's Humane Education staff or call (925) 296-3152 for project approval prior to getting started.
Getting Credit
Once your project is completed, please arrange with Humane Education staff a time to bring the final product to ARF. ARF requires all volunteers requesting credit for community service requirements to track and record their hours. Please use the ARF Volunteer Hours Log to document your service hours.
Please note: ARF cannot accommodate requests for court-mandated community service.
