Spaying and neutering addresses the pet overpopulation crisis at its source, prevents health and behavior problems, and helps relieve pressure on overcrowded animal shelters. Compassionate and skilled veterinarians and technicians utilize state-of-the-art equipment to safely surgically sterilize thousands of dogs and cats each year using the highest standards of care.

ARF's state-of-the-art Spay & Neuter Clinic (Lynn & Dolores McCoskey Spay and Neuter Clinic) is located at its Walnut Creek headquarters and opens its doors to members of the public on an appointment basis. All animals must be healthy and be between 17 weeks and 6 years of age. Bring proof of current rabies and distemper vaccinations. No vaccinations or pre-operative blood testing will be provided by ARF.
